Privacy Policy — Grošík
Grošík (“the app”) is a personal finance education app for Android developed and operated by Martin Baránek, Czech Republic (“we”, “the developer”). Contact: app.grosik@gmail.com
The short version
Your data never leaves your phone.
Grošík has no user accounts, no server, no ads and no tracking. Everything you enter or import is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to the developer or to any third party.
Data the app stores on your device
To do its job, Grošík stores the following data locally on your device only:
- transactions you enter by hand (amount, category, date, optional note),
- transactions imported from bank statement files (GPC/CSV) that you choose yourself via the system file picker,
- your savings goals,
- lesson progress, XP and streak,
- app settings (reminder time, theme, and similar preferences).
This data is processed exclusively on your device. The developer has no access to it and cannot see, restore or delete it for you.
What we do NOT do
- We do not collect, transmit or sell any personal data.
- We do not require an account or registration.
- We show no advertising and use no advertising or tracking SDKs.
- Imported bank statements are parsed on the device and are never uploaded anywhere.
Optional analytics
The app contains an analytics switch in Settings that is off by default (opt-in). In the current version, no analytics data is transmitted off your device even when the switch is enabled. If a future version introduces anonymous usage analytics, it will only ever apply with this switch enabled, will not include the content of your financial records, and this policy will be updated first.
Voluntary contributions (tips)
The app offers voluntary contributions (“Support Grošík”) processed by Google Play’s billing system. The payment is handled entirely by Google; the developer never receives your payment details. The app only stores a local flag that a contribution was made, so it can thank you and stop asking. Google’s handling of payment data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Permissions the app uses
- Notifications — to show the daily reminder you can configure or turn off in Settings.
- Alarms & device start — to schedule that reminder reliably.
- Camera — only to scan receipts. Images are processed on the device and are never stored or transmitted.
- Google Play billing — solely for the voluntary contributions above.
The app requests no access to your contacts, location, microphone or phone calls.
Device backups
If you have Android device backup enabled, your device may include the app’s data in your encrypted Google backup, like it does for other apps. This backup belongs to your Google account, is controlled by you in your device settings, and the developer has no access to it.
Your control over your data
In Settings → My data you can:
- export all your data to a file at any time,
- delete all data the app holds, irreversibly.
Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data as well. Because the developer holds no copy of your data, requests under GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, portability) are fully satisfied by these built-in functions; for anything else, contact us at app.grosik@gmail.com.
Children
The app provides financial education content and is not directed at children under 13. It collects no personal data from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If the app’s data practices ever change, this policy will be updated and the effective date above revised before the change takes effect. Material changes will be announced in the app’s release notes.
